In a traditional American home, we need maintenance our house regularly to keep our house like nice. Obviously, this just limits to the nicer neighborhoods. For examples, people have the rules in mind that they need to maintenance their lawn, and keep a nice landscape of the plants in front of the house. A nice landscaping of a house indicate the people's social status, the characteristics of a home. This is a particular culture in the US.
